- Sets up and operates devices such as mechanical ventilators, therapeutic gas administration apparatus, environmental control systems, and aerosol generators.
- Operates equipment to ensure specified parameters of treatment such as volume, gas concentration, humidity, and temperature, and to administer medicinal gases and aerosol drugs to patients under the orders of Physician.
- Monitors patient’s physiological responses to therapy through patient vital signs.
- Assists patient in performing breathing exercises.
- Observes equipment function and adjusts equipment to obtain optimum results to therapy. Consults with Physician in event of adverse reactions.
- Maintains patient’s chart that contains pertinent identification and therapy information.
- Inspects and tests respiratory therapy equipment to ensure equipment is functioning safely and efficiently.
- Orders repairs when needed.
- Demonstrates respiratory care procedures to trainees and other health care personnel.

These requirements are representative of the knowledge, skill, minimum education, training, license, experience, and/or ability required. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- One to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- The completion of an approved school for respiratory therapy.

Respiratory Therapist, Paramedic or LPN
We’re looking for an organized and driven Respiratory Therapist, Paramedic or LPN to join our Clinical team at Seeley Medical located in Poland and Andover, Ohio. Seeley Medical provides home medical equipment and supplies to patients throughout northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania. This position will work closely with patient’s directly to ensure their respiratory needs are being met.
The standard hours are flexible for the position ranging from 25 to 30 hours per week; fulltime hours may also be an option. Additionally, this position does participate in an on-call rotation.
Duties include:
- Completing in-home or office cardio-respiratory set-ups
- Patient Education
- Creating and maintain accurate records
Skills and Qualifications:
- Licensed in the State of Ohio as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, Paramedic or Practical Nurse
- Must be able to lift / maneuver 25lbs.
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Must be able to pass a BCI/FBI background check

Responsibilities:
The Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) performs routine therapy, diagnostic and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients in PAM Health hospitals and maintains all equipment in working order. Provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing for the patient population as required or requested. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
To fill this role, you’ll need:
- Education and Training: Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital resides to practice respiratory care. Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certification. Blood gas licensure required if employed in the state of Nevada. For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, at least a high school diploma is required, preferably an associate degree.
- Experience: Minimum of one-year clinical respiratory experience preferred
